Geological Mapping & Mineral Identification – Raparin Mineral Exploration Fields

Geological Mapping & Mineral Identification – Raparin Mineral Exploration Fields

Overview

The Zagros mountains are known for their rich deposits of industrial minerals. Raparin Mineral approached Charmo Geolab to conduct a detailed geological investigation covering a 60 km² zone with promising activity.
The aim was to identify viable mineral deposits, map geological structures, and provide feasibility insights for future extraction operations.

Project Scope

Geological Mapping

Our geologists performed fieldwork to record:
Rock formations
Fault lines
Mineral veins
Structural deformation patterns
Using modern GIS tools, we developed high-resolution geological maps essential for exploration planning.

Core Sampling

Exploratory drilling was carried out to collect core samples at varying depths. These samples enabled precise evaluation of mineral continuity and economic potential.

Laboratory Mineral Testing

Core samples underwent rigorous testing:
Density and porosity
Hardness and fracture characteristics
Purity levels
Chemical composition

Environmental & Hydrological Assessments

We studied the ecological conditions, groundwater levels, and runoff patterns to ensure that future operations would follow sustainable extraction practices.

Key Discoveries

Charmo Geolab confirmed commercially viable deposits of:
Dolomite — ideal for industrial and chemical applications
Silica sand — used in glass-making, construction, and filtration
Basalt aggregates — high-strength materials suited for road and concrete industries
These discoveries provide Raparin Mineral with a strong foundation for launching new extraction operations.

Environmental Approach

Charmo Geolab emphasized responsible resource management by recommending:
Controlled extraction zones
Reinforced groundwater protection measures
Sustainable waste-handling strategies
Seasonal excavation schedules to reduce ecosystem disturbance
Our balanced approach ensured economic opportunity without compromising environmental integrity.
